Soar Liaison Spotlight
Adrianna Viswanatha - Prospect Researcher
Tell us about yourself in 2-4 sentences. For example, your profession, how long you’ve been with CCRF, been a CCRF Soar Leadership Council Board liaison, etc. and a fun fact.
I am CCRF’s prospect researcher; I search our database for the best potential donors and work with our gift officers to help those donors reach their full major giving potential. I have been with CCRF since Spring 2017 and a staff liaison to Soar Leadership Council since Spring 2018. I am a founding member of CCRF’s podcast club!
Why did you choose to work for CCRF and become a CCRF Soar Leadership Council Board liaison?
I love the authenticity that CCRF brings to the table whether it is in donor relations, working with scientists, or promoting family stories and support. I enjoy that part of my job (finding great major donor prospects) can be applied to Soar by finding excellent new young professionals within our database to join Soar and grow our presence and influence.
What are you most excited about working on as a CCRF Soar Leadership Council Board liaison?
I was so excited to see the team come together at the end of 2018 and craft a solid, dedicated strategic plan for the new year. I look forward to working with this dedicated, passionate board to create some really memorable content and events in 2019.
What do you wish others knew about Soar and its partnership with CCRF? What motivates you to continue to be a CCRF Soar Board liaison? What makes it special?
CCRF is dedicated to honoring our donors’ interests and requests when it comes to their funding, so we make sure that their money goes toward exactly the fund they specify. Soar raises money specifically for CCRF’s Emerging Scientist Grant program, a program that benefits researchers who are often our age, at the beginning of the career in medicine; this was the fund that Soar chose as their own project to support and it speaks to the specific, special impact that Soar can have on the pediatric cancer community.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working or volunteering?
When I’m not working, I play volleyball and bar trivia wherever I can find it!
